Introduction

The Film Bridge Development Association, in collaboration with the Mongolian National Film Council, proudly announces the annual "KHARKHORUM" International Film Festival.

The mission of the Kharkhorum Film Festival extends beyond regional borders, aspiring to unite filmmakers globally on the vibrant stage nestled in Central Asia. Our vision is to create an inclusive and dynamic platform that beckons filmmakers from around the world, inviting diverse narratives, cultures, and cinematic expressions to converge at this cultural crossroads. By fostering this international gathering, we aim to provide a welcoming space for creators worldwide to share their stories and craft. At its core, while uniting to celebrate filmmakers worldwide, our mission also extends to showcasing and elevating Mongolian film productions and filmmakers on a global stage and bolstering investments in Mongolia's economy through the medium of cinema. We are committed to fostering international standards in filmmaking and advancing the movie business, both locally and globally. Through this celebration of global cinematic diversity and the dedicated spotlight on Mongolian cinema, the Kharkhorum Film Festival aims to create an impactful nexus where cultures converge, artistic excellence thrives, and the global film community flourishes.

It invites feature films created within the past two years to contend for three esteemed awards: "Best Feature Film," "Best Documentary Film," and an  Award of the Respective Topic of the Year.

With a substantial prize fund, the festival will unite the expertise of top Mongolian and international film professionals annually, setting the stage for a collaborative celebration of cinematic excellence.
